Adelaide Strikers beat Melbourne Stars by 41 runs

MOM: Colin Ingram

  • So that is it from this game! The Big Bash teams now have a day off as Australia and India lock horns for the first ODI. However, there are three games being played on Sunday, so we can call it a super, no wait, a super, super Sunday. Do join us for all the action. For now, you can catch up with some Test match action between South Africa and Pakistan by switching tabs. Take care and goodbye.
  • Colin Ingram is the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock!
  • The Adelaide Strikers' bowlers were excellent! Everybody except for Travis Head were amongst the wicket. Laughlin was the star as he finished with a 3-fer. Agar, Rashid and Liam too picked 2 each. In the end, they ensured the efforts by their batsmen did not go in vain. So who do you think will win the Man of the Match? Ingram or Laughlin? Stay tuned to find out.
  • In reply, the Stars did get off to a flier but it was the middle overs where the real test would begin and they failed miserably there. They slipped from 50 for no loss to 64 for 4 and then it was too much of an ask for the batters coming in. Eventually they failed and fell quite short of a total which was always going to be tough to chase.
  • A convincing win for the Strikers! A complete team performance by them. First it was their middle order who ensured they get to a total around 180. Ingram and Head were the stars with a 74-run stand. The skipper got to his fifty and Wells' cameo added the finishing touches.
