Australia's Steve Smith had a stopover in rainy Bristol on way to Taunton where they will play Pakistan in a match on Tuesday. There is a rain threat for that match as well. Smith takes to Instagram to post a picture with an umbrella and write in this sponsored post..."Attempting to get out and about in Bristol but not having much luck with the weather! But at least I can share this experience with family, friends and fans back home."

Hi this is SmashingStrokes with you and we have a match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka soon. Both the teams need a win to keep themselves afloat in the race for semifinals. On paper Bangladesh are looking better than Sri Lanka. It will be interesting to see, whether the Tigers can score their first win over Sri Lanka in ICC tournaments.

Rain is pouring and water is being sucked out at the same time. And that is the only action at the Bristol ground. Few fans are looking skywards to see when will rain relent and then when will they have a chance to witness real cricketing action.

  • Match Preview

THE MATCH HAS BEEN ABANDONED. New place, new day but the result is the same as the previous game. This is the third match in this World Cup that has been abandoned. At least we had some overs on Monday but today we did not even get to see the toss and for the second game in a row, the teams will share the points. Sri Lanka will have to be happy with just one point. Bangladesh's losing run of 2 games comes to an end but they would have come here looking to end it with a win though now they will head into the next fixture with a washed out game behind them. So that's it from this game. End of another sorry day for all the cricket lovers. We will be back on 12th June though, as Australia take on Pakistan in Taunton. That game will begin at 1030 Local (0930 GMT). Let's hope we do not get a hat-trick of washouts and finally get a game on that one. Till then, cheers!
