Goodnight from me now and will see you tomorrow with a new match.  Before leaving think it over.

If Australia beat South Africa and India beat Sri Lanka, it is clear that Australia will face the fourth-placed team (New Zealand by all probabilities) and India will play England at Edgbaston and will look for revenge.

If South Africa beat Australia and India win, it will be India vs New Zealand (the two teams have not met this World Cup due to rain) and the other match will be Australia vs England.

What if Australia-South Africa match is rained off? Now sit and calculate and post them on your social media handle!

    Goodnight ... Cheers

MORGAN: Not looking for any particular opponent in the semis. Both India and Australia are two good teams and we will be ready to face either of them.

MORGAN: We will continue to bat first and hope luck with the toss stays with us. Chasing has been difficult with the conditions changing towards the second half.

EOIN MORGAN: Our match-winners are the two boys who laid us a great platform. Jonny's ton has been wonderful.

KANE WILLIAMSON: We are hoping to be in the semifinals and hope to play better than what has been happening now. Lockie Ferguson will be fit by the time of semifinals.

KANE WILLIAMSON: We needed to build-up partnerships chasing and we were unable to do it.

KANE WILLIAMSON: Not ideal for us (third consecutive defeat) but definitely not good.

This is the first time England has reached a World Cup semifinals since 1992. They have qualified five times (1975, 1979, 1983, 1987 and 1992).

Just a small gap in the door, it is now in their own hands for Pakistan to advance to the semifinal when they take on Bangladesh.

Man of the match is Bairstow and the man who has scored back-to-back centuries is proud to have contributed to two crucial wins.

The Q mark is yet not put against New Zealand's name and that is sure to come after the Pakistan-Bangladesh match.

Someone says all is not lost for Pakistan. Pakistan batting first must score 400 and restrict Bangladesh to just 84 runs. That is the only probability which is remote.

OUT! STUMPED! Boult is short! Rashid gets the last wicket. Boult again uses his feet and Rashid this time tosses it up. He gets it to land just behind the batsman's reach. Boult looks to defend but the ball turns away and beats the outside edge. Buttler collects the ball and whips the bails off. An appeal and the umpire takes it upstairs. Replays roll in and they show that Boult has not made it in. ENGLAND WIN BY 119 RUNS!

It looks to me as the end of New Zealand innings and are all out for 186. England has won the match by 119 runs and have finished third in the table and confirmed a spot in the semifinals. New Zealand is the fourth team to make the semifinals despite the loss and mathematics gives no chance for Pakistan to make the grade. There will be no repeat of 1992.

Just saw a tweet from Test Match Special, which said: "If Pakistan bowl first on Friday they cannot get through on run rate -- if they bat first and score 400 they would have to bowl Bangladesh out for 14."

If that happens it would be a miracle in cricketing history.
