'I Loved Skating But Dad Asked To Play A Game With Money' Yuvi Opens Up On Becoming A Cricketer
It continues to feel unreal calling Yuvraj Singh a "former Indian cricketer". The man who recently celebrated the 12th anniversary of hitting six sixes in an over, said goodbye to the blue jersey earlier this year but continues to stick around to promote the enhancement of the quality of sports that Indians receive.
During 'The Sports Movement' event held at New Delhi on Tuesday, Singh spoke about one of the major reasons why Indians continue to struggle on the field while other countries have shown a significant rise in the quality of their athletes.
According to the cricketer, it is because of the kind of insecurity that Indian parents share towards the kind of income that a sportsperson will earn, as compared to someone who's spent their childhood chasing academics.
