Following the Vijay Hazare and Deodhar Trophy, the action has now moved onto the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20 in the Indian domestic circuit. The Indian selectors are keeping an eye on the T20 domestic tournament as it gives a perfect platform for youngsters to hone their skills in the shortest format and display their best self ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 auction in December in Kolkata.

While the young guns are on their toes, it seems like some of the veteran stars aren't done yet and are showcasing their fitness in the domestic tournament. Yusuf Pathan, 36, pulled off a stunner during the end overs of the Baroda-Goa clash which determined his hunger and athleticism even during the last lap of his career.

In defense of a moderate 150, Baroda bowlers kept the contest open till the last few overs with Goa requiring 7 off 8 balls. On a full-length delivery for Rishi Arothe, Goa's skipper Darshan Misal (27) went for an uppish drive but was cut at short covers by the 36-year-old Yusuf. The experienced campaigner displayed his emotions after the catch and was surrounded by his teammates in no time.

The catch grabbed the attention of Yusuf's younger brother, Irfan Pathan and he shared the video from his official Twitter handle. His caption read: Is it a bird? No this is Yusuf Pathan. Great catch today lala. All ur hard work in pre season is paying off.

Eventually, Baroda went down to Goa by four wickets as the chasing side was well led by Suyash Prabhudessai and Aditya Kaushik's knocks. From Baroda's point of view, Swapnil Singh (50) propelled them to 149 for 9. Yusuf, however, had a forgettable outing with the willow and perished for a two-ball 0. Talking about Irfan, he is currently involved as a commentator for the India-Bangladesh T20Is.
