The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 concluded on Saturday with Barbados Tridents defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors by 27 runs in the final to clinch the trophy. It was another action-packed season of the CPL which saw intense cricketing action with a host of superstars from around the world plying their trade in the T20 league. While there was action in aplenty throughout the tournament, England all-rounder Chris Jordan pulled off one of the best caught and bowled dismissals during the second qualifier between his team Trinbago Knight Riders and the Barbados Tridents in Trinidad.

Jordan displayed amazing reflexes to execute a stunning catch dismissing Tridents batsman Jonathan Carter in the game. In the 15th over of his team's innings, Carter pushed a slower one from Jordan towards him after misreading the pace of the delivery. The ball flew towards the left of Jordan, who dived in full-stretch to pluck a stunner out of thin air and sent the left-hander packing after scoring just 4 off 7 balls.

Batting first in the second qualifier, Tridents were off to a poor start losing opener Alex Hales (10) cheaply. The likes of Shakib Al Hasan (18) and JP Duminy (10) were also sent back early before Shai Hope (23), Raymon Reifer (24) and Ashley Nurse (24) took the team to a moderate total of 160 runs in 20 overs.

The Knight Riders seemed favourites in the chase with a star-studded batting line-up but a combined bowling effort from the Tridents saw them getting bundled out for 148 with three balls to spare as they lost the game by 12 runs. With the win, the Tridents sealed a spot in the final where they defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by 27 runs to lift the trophy.

Carter slammed a 27-ball 50 as Tridents posted a good total of 171 runs batting first in the final. Raymon Reifer then shone with the ball picking up a four-wicket haul as the Warriors were restricted on 144/9 in 20 overs to fall short in the final.
