Former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla on Wednesday heaped praises on Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) newly-elected president Sourav Ganguly, saying the former India captain has got great talent and will prove to be an asset for the BCCI.

Meanwhile, Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai told PTI, “I have great respect for Sourav…My respect for him grew even more watching him efficiently manage the Cricket Association of Bengal and the fact that cricketer of that capability and distinction will be running the BCCI. I don’t think there is anyone better than Sourav to take over the reins of BCCI.”
Along with Ganguly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah was made the Secretary. Kerala’s Jayesh George was appointed as BCCI Joint Secretary, while Mahim Verma of Uttarakhand became the new Vice President.
