Australia produced a valiant display against Sri Lanka to seal the first T20I of the three-match series at home.
The Aussies posted 233/2 after riding on an unbeaten 100 by David Warner.
The hosts then restricted Sri Lanka to 99/9 and pocket the match by 134 runs.

Warner slams maiden T20I ton for Australia
David Warner smashed a 56-ball 100* that was laced with 10 fours and four sixes.
It was his maiden T20I hundred.
Warner now holds the record for the second-most maximum innings to register a maiden T20I century.
Kevin O'Brien (Ireland) took 74 innings to register his maiden ton.
Aussie opener Warner achieved the same in 71 innings.
Australia script highest T20I score at home
Australia's 233/2 is on the 17th position for the highest team totals in T20Is.
This was Australia's fourth-highest T20I total.
This was their second-best total in T20Is against Sri Lanka.
The 233/2 amassed by Australia is now the highest T20I score at the Adelaide Oval.
It is also their highest total on home soil.
Australia registered their sixth win against Lanka in T20Is.
Aussies notch third-best opening stand, Warner equals Watson's feat
Aaron Finch and Warner added 122 runs for the first wicket.
This was their first century-plus stand for the opening wicket.
Australia's opening stand of 122 is their third-best tally in T20Is.
Warner's score of 100* is now the highest T20I individual score at the Adelaide.
The southpaw equaled former Aussie legend Shane Watson in terms of sixes in T20Is (83).
Kasun Rajitha concedes most runs in a T20I match
Finch (64) now has 10 T20I career fifties. He raced to 82 career T20I sixes.
Glenn Maxwell (62) slammed his seventh career T20I fifty.
Kasun Rajitha ended up with figures of 4-0-75-0.
This is now the most runs conceded by a bowler in T20I match and third-most conceded in a T20 match as well.
