Pankaj Advani scored a comfortable 5-2 win over Pakistan’s Zulfiqar Qadir to enter the quarterfinals of the IBSF World 6-Red Snooker Championship here today. Laxman Rawat and Pushpender Singh entered the quarterfinals. In the women’s championship, Amee Kamani is the sole Indian left.


Focus on Shafali as BPXI face South Africa in warm-up T20

Sri Lanka off-spinner Akila Dananjaya was handed a 12 month ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for an illegal bowling action. The decision was taken after an independent assessment of his action. The 25-year-old was assessed after the legality of his bowling action came under question during the first Test against New Zealand in Galle in August. He subsequently underwent an independent assessment in Chennai on August 29, which revealed that he employed an illegal action.
