In the second match of the current ODI series played between West Indies and Afghanistan at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Stadium in Lucknow, West Indies defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs to win the series.
In this match, West Indies batting first scored 247 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs, Nicholas Pooran scored the highest for the team with 67 runs while Lewis and Shai Hope scored 43 runs.

Thus the West Indies won the match by 47 runs, and achieved an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series, notably the West Indies also won the first match.
Nicholas Pooran was given the Man of the Match for his brilliant 67-run knock, in which Pooran faced 50 balls and hit 7 fours and 3 sixes.
