India's ODI and T20 team vice-captain Rohit Sharma has recently been selected as the opener for Test cricket. He will be seen opening the innings for India in the upcoming South Africa series Test matches. Although he was playing the role of opener for the last 6 years in ODI cricket.

But he got this opportunity in Test cricket for the first time. Rohit was out of the team in both the matches of India's West Indies series. In such a situation, now Rohit will have a good opportunity to capitalize on this opportunity. After Rohit becomes Test opener, he is expected to score big. Also, he is now expected to break the record of playing the greatest innings in Test cricket.

The record for the biggest personal score in Test cricket is to Brian Lara of West Indies. In 2004, Lara scored a historic 400-run knock against England in a Test match.

Even after 15 years of this innings, no one has broken that record. Rohit has already scored two double centuries as an opener in ODIs.

Now he will be expected to do the same in Test cricket. The answer will soon be found in the Test series against South Africa.
