Andrew McDonald In Line To Be Justin Langer’s Deputy – Reports
Former Australia all-rounder Andrew McDonald is the front runner to take on the role of assistant coach with the Australia men’s team, according to newspaper reports. However, Cricket Australia is yet to decide on who will be Justin Langer’s deputy.

McDonald, oversaw a historic triple crown last summer as coach of Victoria in the Sheffield Shield and 50-over competitions as well as the KFC Big Bash League title with Melbourne Renegades. The former cricketer, who has played four Test matches for Australia was also one of the frontrunners to take up England’s job after Trevor Bayliss stepped down from the post.

News Corp papers today claimed that Andrew McDonald’s appointment had been slowed by concerns within Victorian cricket about finding a replacement with the domestic season having already begun.
