Ansh claims 5 wkts as Haryana defeat city boys by 112 runs

img Chandigarh, November 2 Haryana’s Ansh Thakral claimed a five-wicket haul to help his side register a 112-run win over Chandigarh in the Vijay Merchant Trophy match at Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, today. Resuming from overnight 30/3, Chandigarh lads were bowled out for 132 runs. The city lads were chasing Haryana’s 244-run target to win the match. Overnight unbeaten Aaryan Verma and Neel Dhaliwal pushed the total to 52, before Garv Sangwan claimed Verma (26 off 81 balls) , As Reported By Tribune.

According to the Newspaper,Dhaliwal (13) then in company of skipper Pratham Sodhi tried his luck to stable the innings, but he became the second victim of Sangwan. Sodhi (9) was the next to go as Thakral swung into action. Thakral thereafter accounted for Ansh Khosla (5), Ivraj Ranauta (0) and Nishunk Birla (0) to complete his five-wicket haul (5/32). Paras Kumar was the only batsman to stand tall against the attack as he scored 57 off 73 balls, with eight boundaries and one six.
