Auction for the 2020 IPL will be held in December
There are seven months left for the 2020 IPL. The planning for the 12th edition of IPL has started. The auctions for IPL will be held in December.
It was an eventful auction held in the last year. It was a mega auction with all the teams who are participating in this edition for their players. This time, it is going to be a mini auction with most of the team players set to remain the same for all franchises.
There will a increment of 3 crores in the salary cap of players. It means that the owners can spend upto Rs 86 crores.
This would be a massive opportunity for the teams like Kings XI Punjab, and Royal Challengers Bangalore to pick those players who can fit in their team. KXIP requires two things for his things namely captain and middle order batsman. Rajasthan Royals are also facing the same problem like Kings XI Punjab.
It would be interesting to see the list of release players of each team. Everyone expected to see a few changes in Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. Some other teams like Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians would be happy with what they have in the backpack.
The trading continues between teams. It is expected that the R Ashwin and A Rahane will play for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming edition of the IPL. KL Rahul may lead the KXIP in the upcoming editions of the IPL. For 2020 IPL RCB changed his head coach and mentor of their team. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals traded Rutherford and Mayank Markande.
