Dean Elgar Complains About Facilities In India, Twitter Criticises
It wasn’t a great tour for Dean Elgar so far. After smashing a brilliant century in the first innings at Visakhapatnam, the flamboyant batsman would have wanted to end it on the positive note but unfortunately, he failed to capitalise it. Meanwhile, in the final Test, he complained regarding the facilities of the hotels and food in India.
You get stretched as a person – Dean Elgar
Dean Elgar reveals that he isn’t impressed with the hotels arranged to them. However, he accepts that those are the challenges to face when they tour away from the country. Further, Dean Elgar quoted that it was a tough tour so far for him and the country.
“It’s a challenging tour. You get stretched as a person, you get stretched as a cricketer, I think you get to know yourself quite a lot as a person when you come to the smaller places where the hotels are maybe not as good, and you get challenged on the field,” Dean Elgar said.Dean Elgar. Elgar’s comments over testing conditions in India did not go down well with the fans as they said, the South African was making excuses for his side’s failure in the series.
Some also reminded Elgar about India’s tour of South Africa in 2017-18 where the tourists were asked to not use the shower for more than two minutes owing to water crisis in Johannesburg.
So far, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match Test series. The hosts won the first Test by 203 runs in Vizag and went on to better their performance in the next game. They registered a comprehensive victory by an innings and 137 runs in Pune.
Here are a few tweets:

I think Dean Elgar or anyone wouldn't comment the same if they do good in T20 format. You then adapt to Indian off-field conditions more quickly!

Somebody needs to remind @deanelgar that Cape Town hotel rooms gave Indian cricketers only two mins of time to take showers because of extreme water shortage.

So Indian food is the reason for not sighting turning balls by the SA team.@deanelgar@BCCI@SGanguly99 Please arrange proper food for the touring squads.#INDvSA
