The first T20I of the series between India and Bangladesh will go as per plan, despite the poor air conditions making it difficult for people in the state. However, the home side might cancel its training sessions ahead of the match and opt for gym sessions due to poor weather.

As per a report in IANS, team India is scheduled to train at the Arun Jaitely Stadium from 2 PM to 5 PM on November 1 and 2. As per the report, a final decision on whether India will have outdoor sessions or not will depend on the weather on Friday.

There are no signs of an improvement in the weather for now and there can be a case when the smog might remain during the course of the match as well.

In the previous international match in Delhi – India hosted Sri Lanka in the third Test of the series in December 2017 – the visiting team found it difficult to breathe and the players came out wearing masks. In 2016, two Ranji Trophy matches in Delhi had to be cancelled due to smog.

The BCCI would hope that Delhi pollution does not impact the staging of the T20I in the capital. After 2017, the board had decided that it would not allocate a match to Delhi in these conditions but the rotation policy saw Delhi getting the duty to host the first T20I.

Bangladesh’s players are expected to reach Delhi today and might start to train from tomorrow. Their training session could be affected as they train in the morning.

The first T20I of the series will be played on November 3. The second and third T20I will be played on November 7 and 10 in Rajkot and Nagpur, respectively. Following the T20Is, the two teams will play two Test matches in Indore and Kolkata, respectively. The second Test watch .
