Dia Mirza Blasts BCCI For Hosting India-Bangladesh T20I In New Delhi Despite AQI Being 'Severe'
As per a report in Economic Times, the AQI in Delhi entered “severe plus” or ‘emergency’ category on Thursday night rising to 459 points.
It was suspected that the India-Bangladesh T20I might see a change of venue. However, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly later confirmed that the match will go ahead as plan and wouldn’t move out of the city.
Unhappy with the decision, actress Dia Mirza voiced her opinion and lashed out at BCCI for going ahead with the match in New Delhi.
“It is baffling that the BCCI has decided to go ahead with the T20 match despite the AQI’s severe 412! This complete denial of the hazards of exposing ourselves to pollution is what cripples our ability to seek and implement swift solutions.”

Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir also said on Wednesday had also said that pollution is a bigger concern than the match as “people living in Delhi should be more concerned about the pollution levels.”
The 1st T20I between India and Bangladesh will be played in Delhi on Sunday, November 3.
