Chris Gayle is turning 40 today but the self-proclaimed 'Universe Boss' is showing no signs of slowing down, be it with his batting or the entertainment that he provides off the field thanks to his social media accounts which are flooded with his pictures of partying and enjoying life to the fullest.

The cricketing fraternity flooded social media with wishes for the legendary batsman from Jamaica, who is still going strong even after two decades of playing the sport at the highest level.

Indian cricketers and some of Gayle's IPL teammates led the wishes on social media with KL Rahul leading the way.

"Happy birthday @henrygayle Dont blush boss. Wish u many more legend," Rahul wrote in a cheeky tweet, referring to the infamous word which had gotten Gayle into trouble a few years back.

Gayle's 'Don't blush Baby' comment to a female sports presenter on live TV during the Big Bash League in 2016 was met with severe backlash on social media and in the sporting fraternity. Gayle though, maintained that he did no wrong and everyone targeted him because he's a West Indian.

Gayle even went on to nickname his daughter 'Blush' after that incident.

But all that is in the past now and Gayle is back to his entertaining best on and off the field. He last featured in the three ODIs against India and recently set the Caribbean Premier League on fire by smashing 116 off 62 balls for the Jamaica Tallawahs in a match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Last month Gayle crossed the landmark of 300 ODIs in the series against India and walked off to a standing ovation after his 41-ball 72 in the 3rd match at Port of Spain, which was his 301st match.

Chris Gayle, who revolutionised limited-overs cricket with his big-hitting skills, is West Indies' all-time run-scorer in ODIs with 10480 runs. He went past West Indies great Brian Lara's tally of 10,405 runs in the 2nd ODI vs India in Trinidad. Gayle is also the most-capped player for ODIs in West Indies. The big-hitting opener went past Lara's tally of 299 matches.
