Fan broke into the ground by breaking the security to touch the feet of Quinton de Kock
The security of the JSCA Stadium was breached on the first day of the third and last Test match of the series being played between India and South Africa in Ranchi. In fact, on the first day of the match, a fan broke the security cordon and landed on the ground after touching the foot of South African wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock.
This is not the first incident in India when a fan has come to the ground to break the security to meet his favorite player during the match.
This has happened many times with Team India's star players Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. However, this will be the first time that an Indian fan has entered the ground to meet a foreign player.
Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane dominated the first day of Ranchi Test. After losing the first session on the basis of Rohit's brilliant century and his record partnership with Rahane, Team India made a tremendous comeback and scored 224 runs for three wickets.
Kagiso Rabada was the most successful bowler for South Africa on the first day, taking two crucial wickets (Cheteshwar Pujara, Mayank Agarwal). At the same time, Enrique Nortje got the big wicket of Captain Kohli. But the Proteas bowlers struggled after Rohit-Rahane took over.
