In every bilateral series, there will be a few interesting aspects to watch out. Mostly, it would be between the top performers of either side. Much to the same, this time, it is between India’s Virat Kohli against South African’s Kagiso Rabada, as per the South African skipper Quinton de Kock. He believes it would be a worthy watch for the spectators.

In absence of regular skipper Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock has been handed over the captaincy reigns. He will be leading a new-look South African squad which is currently on a tour to India for the three-match T20I series.

De Kock is one of the few senior players in the Proteas squad who has been given an additional responsibility by the management keeping in mind next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Addressing the media before the second T20I against India in Mohali, the stylish left-hander spoke about the challenges ahead of the world event and his new role at the helm of affairs.

Winning IPL final is a big deal for me:

IPL regular de Kock, who won the final with Mumbai Indians earlier this year, is pretty familiar with the conditions in India. The skipper said that winning the title is so far the biggest achievement of his cricketing career. He wants to put that at the top until South Africa win a world cup final.

“It is the biggest thing that I have won so far. I have not won a World Cup, once I win that, then it would be the biggest. Winning an IPL final is a big deal and it was a great achievement for me. My opinion is mine. Winning the IPL is currently the biggest achievement for me,” he added.

Left-handed Miller along with De Kock and Kagiso Rabada form the core of a new-look South African limited-overs set-up. Currently, it is going through a transition phase with the first stop being a tour of India. Quinton always had great success against India, especially, in shorter formats of the game.
