Former cricket-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir has launched yet another scathing attack at Pakistan Prime Minister and their former cricket captain Imran Khan. Gautam Gambhir has never shied away from standing for India and hit back at Pakistan. Time and again, he has blasted the neighbours for their cross-border terrorism.

His war of words with Shahid Afridi is just a testament of just how fired up he remains when it comes to defending India. And in his latest tweet, he said that Imran Khan should be expelled from sports community. Gautam Gambhir’s statement came after Imran Khan’ controversial speech at the UNGA in the United States of America.

Earlier on Friday, Imran Khan speaking at the UNGA had held out threats of a conventional war between the two nuclear-armed neighbours spinning out of control. He also spoke about the radicalisation of Muslims in India and around the world. The former cricketer also warned India of another Pulwama type attack.

In his bizarre rant, Imran Khan continued to take shots at India. His extempore speech lasted more than the 15 minutes allotted to him. On the other hand, his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi remained calm and composed as he once again reminded the world of India’s peaceful nature.

In the wake of the speech, Gautam Gambhir feels that Imran Khan does not deserve a place in the sports community. Calling Imran Khan role model for terrorists, Gautam Gambhir tweeted:

“Sportspeople are supposed to be role models. Of good behavior. Of Team spirit. Of ethics. Of strength of character. Recently in the UN, we also saw a former sportsperson speak up. As a role model for terrorists.  @ImranKhanPTI should be excommunicated from sports community.”

Imran Khan is the most decorated skipper of Pakistan. He led the country to its first and only World Cup till date in 1992.
