Virender Sehwag, Shikhar Dhawan are among the several personalities from the cricket fraternity to extend wishes to their fans on social media on the occasion on Sunday.

Diwali, known as the festival of lights, signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

Delhi lads Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan took to Twitter to wish their fans on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. "May your path be always lit ?? and may there be happiness , love and light in your lives. May you celebrate dhoom dhaam se #HappyDeepavali" Sehwag wrote.

Shastri took to Twitter and wished everyone on the occasion while encouraging people to try and bring happiness in the lives of those who are less fortunate and need.

Warner, who celebrated his 33rd birthday on the auspicious day, wished his fans in this part of the world too by sharing a photo on Instagram with Happy Diwali written on it.

The dashing left hander plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad and was the top-scorer in the league last season with 692 runs to his name.
