Indian veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had put his hat in the ring for the player’s draft of the Hundred. The Turbanator is the sole Indian player to put his name forth for England’s new format of cricket. The experienced off-spinner has put his price at £100,000. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh had last played in the Indian colors in Asia Cup 2016.

On the other hand, it is not going to be easy for the experienced spinner to play in the Hundred. He has not retired from the international format which will be a hindrance to his contract. It is well known that the Board of Control for Cricket in India doesn’t allow its players to ply their trade in foreign T20 leagues.


Will Harbhajan Singh retire?

Consequently, Harbhajan Singh will need to hang his boots from the International arena if he wants to play in the Hundred. In fact, it is understood that Harbhajan Singh will not back out from retiring as he wants to play in the Hundred.

Harbhajan Singh is one of the 25 overseas players with a base price of £100,000 (US$124,000) or more. The draft is scheduled for October 20 in London. Meanwhile, three foreign players are allowed in the squad as well as the team.

On the other hand, he was part of the inaugural World T20 triumph. The off-spinner has only played 28 T20Is and has played for Mumbai Indians. Harbhajan currently represents Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
