Hasan Ali Set To Miss T20I Series Against The Hosts Australia
is getting ready to announce the T20I and Test squads for the upcoming tour of . The 25-year-old right-arm pacer Hasan Ali is likely to miss the T20I series in Australia due to the back injury.
Hasan Ali is one of the regular members in the limited-overs side of . He has played nine Tests, 53 ODIs and 30 T20Is after making international debut in August 2016. In his international career, the right-arm pacer has already taken 31 Test wickets, 82 ODI wickets and 35 T20I wickets.
Hasan Ali was the Player of the Tournament during Pakistan’s victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. However, in recent time, he is struggling to perform consistently in international matches.
Since the , Hasan Ali has played only one first-class game in mid-September. He already missed out the home limited-overs international series against due to the back injury. The right-arm pacer picked up that injury during the pre-season camp, ahead of the limited-overs team selection against Sri Lanka.
Hasan Ali’s back injury is taking time to heal
At present, Hasan Ali is undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. A PCB official has recently claimed that Hasan’s back problem is taking time to heal entirely. So, the 25-year-old pacer is likely to miss the forthcoming T20I series in Australia.
That official claimed, “Hasan has been undergoing rehab at the national cricket academy in Lahore but apparently his back problem is taking time to heal.”
In the upcoming Australia tour, Pakistan will play the three-match T20I series and two-match Test series against the hosts. They will play the three-match T20I series from 3rd to 8th November 2019. Meanwhile, they will play the Test series between 21st November and 3rd December 2019.
The Test series will be the part of 2019-21 . While it will be the second series under the ongoing WTC for Australia, Pakistan will play their first Test series under this Championship.
