Sourav Ganguly shall be a busy man during his tenure as the president of the BCCI. There are a lot of challenges that he will have to face head on.

So what are they exactly? Let's take a look.

1. India's position in the ICC

He will look to ensure that BCCI gets get $405 million as its share of revenues which is more than anyone else.

He said that he would look to get back the $372 million from the 8-year cycle (2016-2023) where we host the 2021 World T20 along with the 2023 World Cup.

One solution could be asking Star Sports to carry the tax burden as they have a big set-up in India

3. Payment of domestic cricketers

Players are paid less than in international cricket, but it is an issue he has always wanted to look into.

Competitions like Deodhar Trophy and spacing Ranji Trophy games need to be looked at along with umpiring standards.

5. Day/Night Test cricket

The last CoA Status Report wants some leeway on the rule . If the Top Court says yes, Ganguly can bring in quality ex-players for some key roles.
