ICC's big statement now, World Cup will not happen in 4 years so soon.
Two of the best teams of this World Cup, England and Australia, are being played on the historic ground of Lord's. In the 32nd World Cup match, England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the Kangaroo team scored 285 runs in 50 overs for seven wickets. England have to score 286 runs to win.
The International Cricket Council has proposed a new proposal that the 50-over World Cup be held every three years, while as per the current format it is held once every four years. However, the proposal did not get the support of full members, including India, Australia and England. The proposal was not endorsed at the meeting of key executives of full member countries.
According to the Times of India report, full members are not happy with the proposal. His advice is that when the World Cup is held in four years, despite the fact that people are not able to be charmed, there is no use of hosting it in three years. Instead, the ICC should pay more attention to the World T20, which people are accepting.
The ICC also cited the reason behind organizing the World Cup once every three years. The ICC wants a global event to be organized every year. The 50 over World Cup, World T20 and Women's World Cup are top level events at the moment.
Here, Australia team opener and captain Aaron Finch scored 100 runs in 115 balls in this big match. Aaron Finch has hit 11 fours and 2 sixes during his century. But, after this, he was caught by Chris Woakes on the ball of Joffra Archer in the circle of sixes on the next ball.
On the other hand, in the World Cup 2019, David Warner has completed his 500 runs. In the 32nd World Cup match against England, Warner touched this figure and scored 53 runs from 61 balls. He hit six sixes in his innings. Warner became the first batsman to score 500 runs in this World Cup. Warner has scored 500 runs in 7 matches at an average of 83.33 in this World Cup so far.
