MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council's (ICC) October board meeting, that was originally scheduled to be held in Sydney, Australia, has now been shifted to Dubai.

While there's been no official communication from the ICC yet on the matter, sources say the meeting has been shifted on reports of ICC chairman Shashank Manohar not keeping well. "The chairman is unwell and has been advised against long travel. That's why it's being shifted to Dubai," said an individual in the know.

Yet, there seem to be more gossip floating around than necessary on the matter, and the subject became the topic of discussion among ICC members on Saturday. Sources at ICC said "internally, the reason that's been shared with is that he's unwell and can't travel long hours (to Sydney). But the same thing hasn't been communicated officially to us".

The ICC's chief executive meeting on Future Tours Program that was earlier scheduled for October 4 in Dubai has now been postponed by a week and will be held during the window allotted for the board meeting. "What's surprising is that the ICC is not officially communicating it, even when the decision has been taken. We're waiting for more details," sources add.
