IND vs BAN: India's First day-night Test match will be played at Eden Gardens
The second match in the Test series between India and Bangladesh will be a day-night test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The BCCI and Bangladesh Cricket Board announced this on Tuesday. This will be the first day-night Test match of the Indian team. The match will start on November 22 and will be played with a pink ball.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that our long-time partner Bangladesh Cricket Board has given consent to conduct the day-night Test match. I am happy to announce this and This will be a big step and it will help to bring back the spectators in Test cricket. I thank BCB President Najmul Hasan and the players of Bangladesh for accepting our request in such a short time.
Significantly, Sourav Ganguly also talked to Virat Kohli to organize a day-night Test match in India. After this, he also requested the BCB President, and BCB and team players agreed to play the second Test day-night on a tour of India in a meeting. In many other countries, such test matches have been held but this will be the first time in India when the team will play with the pink ball. It will be a historic day for India in test cricket.
