India Favourite Against South Africa At Home, Says Sourav Ganguly
India will look to make a winning start against South Africa in the second T20I after a washout in the first game in Dharamsala. Ahead of the tie, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly hailed the Indian team calling them the firm favourites against the Proteas at home.
India have been a top side in the world for the last two-three years across the formats. They have defeated all the sides and are confident to start their long home season with a series win. Moreover, this bilateral series’ are also the stepping stones for the World T20 in Australia next year.
Virat Kohli & Co will aim the premier tournament next year after missing out on the 50-over tournament earlier this year. India will hope to settle their combinations before the tournament commences. “India are favourites. India at home is a dangerous team. They are very hard to beat and that’s been the case for years,” Ganguly said on the sidelines of an event.

“Let one coach finish, then we will think about the other coach. In any case I am already a coach. I look after the Delhi Capitals in the IPL. In my first season last year, they did well. They went to the semifinals from being last for last seven years so it’s been good,” Ganguly concluded.
