The visitors Bangladesh won the first T20I of this series on last Sunday (3rd November) at Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi). While India scored 148/6 (20 overs) in the first batting, the visitors chased down that target in 19.3 overs after losing three wickets.

The Rajkot T20I is a very important game for India. It is the must-win game for India to stay in the fight to win this series.

Here are the predicted XI for India for the upcoming Rajkot T20I.

Rohit Sharma (Captain)

img

In the absence of the captain Virat Kohli, has the responsibility to lead the Indian team in this T20I series. As an opener, Rohit is in the dream form. Though he failed in the Delhi T20I, he can return to the form very soon.

Shikhar Dhawan

img

The left-handed Indian opening batsman is scoring runs consistently but his strike-rate has gone down in recent times. In the last game, when the Indian batsmen were struggling on the slow track, Dhawan scored 41 runs off 42 balls.

Shreyas Iyer

img

The youngster hasn’t performed convincingly in T20I cricket yet. But he has shown his potential in recent ODIs during India’s tour of West Indies in last August. If he gets the proper opportunity, Iyer can show his true potential in T20I cricket too.

Manish Pandey

img

In his international career, has faced many in and outs. However, he was in a remarkable form with the bat in the recent domestic List A tournament (Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20). At the end of that tournament, Pandey was the sixth most run-scorer as he scored 525 runs in nine innings with an average of 105.00. He hit one century and five half-centuries in that tournament. So, he deserves to get an opportunity in this T20I series.

Rishabh Pant (wk)

In the last game at Delhi, the young wicketkeeper-batsman once again failed to impress. Despite his struggling form, team management has enough faith in Pant. However, Pant needs to find his form very soon. Otherwise, Sanju Samson can earn the opportunity by replacing him.

Shivam Dube

The 26-year-old all-rounder had the forgetful experiences in the Delhi T20I, which was also his first international match. But he has enough potential, and the team management is likely not to exclude him from the playing XI immediately.

Krunal Pandya

img

The 28-year-old is growing up well in T20I cricket. In the last game, he played a good cameo knock (15 not out off 8 balls) at the last moment. However, he finished with the bowling figures of 4-0-32-0. Moreover, he dropped Mushfiqur Rahim at the crucial time of that game which changed the match entirely. So, he needs to be consistent in every role.

Yuzvendra Chahal

img

In the last game, the leg-spinner was brilliant with the ball. But he didn’t get the actual value of his bowling. He is surely looking to imitate that performance in the upcoming T20I.

Deepak Chahar

img

The right-arm pacer has impressed with his bowling performance in his early international career. He now needs to show up his consistency.

Shardul Thakur

img

The Rajkot pitch generally assists the pacers more in limited-overs cricket. So, Rohit Sharma and the team management can bring an extra pacer for this T20I. The right-arm pacer , who last played for India more than a year ago, can return to the T20I squad. He has taken six wickets in five T20Is.

Khaleel Ahmed

img

In the last game, the left-arm pacer poorly bowled in his last over and that changed the game result. Khaleel needs to develop his bowling skills quickly which can help him to pick up the wickets.
