India vs Bangladesh 2019: 3rd T20I – Match Prediction
For sure, this modern-age rivalry between India and Bangladesh has had its best moments in recent years. However, it was India who have managed to brave all the odds to defeat Bangladesh in all facets of the game. The visitors might have lost 8 T20Is on the trot but that is nothing but history.
They came up with a refreshingly vibrant perspective against the hosts in the capital city and much to everyone’s surprise, they braved the toughest of conditions in front of the Indian supporters and pulled off a remarkable win to get off the mark in the shorter version of the game against India. Two captains- Rohit Sharma and Mahmudullah at the toss (Credit: BCCI)
With a lot of catching up to do to stay alive in the series, the hosts changed their strategy and came out on top much to the visitor’s annoyance in Rajkot. As the series stands 1-1, the final showdown in Nagpur tomorrow would be much more interesting with both teams looking forward to ending the series on a good note.
From what we can learn from Bangladesh’s tactics in the first T20I is that if they are at their imperious best then they can surely ruffle the Indians’ feathers. On the contrary, Rohit Sharma will have to tread with caution when it comes to giving the ball to the bowlers at the right time. If the bowlers managed to keep the Bangladeshi batsmen in check, then success can follow the Indians around like a shadow.
The neighbours now smell a rare chance for a T20I series win, an achievement which they haven’t unlocked so far. Also, the fact that they are in this position despite the absence of their two experienced players (Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal) is worth applauding.Mahmudullah Riyad at the toss (Credits – BCCI)
Mahmudullah who is currently leading the side would hope to give his fans a visual treat by ending the trophy drought. Even with massive home support, Bangladesh showed they are a thrusting force in the ongoing T20I series and there is a distinct possibility of them becoming party-poopers just like how the drama unfolded in the 2015 bilateral series in India.
On the other side of the coin, Rohit Sharma has an impressive record as a captain. Under his tutelage, India haven’t lost any series (T20Is or ODIs). But you never know what the future beckons. Can Bangladesh seal the T20I series for the first time and stun the hosts? Only time will tell the whole story.
