India vs South Africa Test: Rohit begs clouds not to drizzle
There was cloudy when Indian opener Rohit Sharma was playing for 95 on the first day of the third Test match against South Africa in Ranchi. Rohit wanted to complete his century but it seemed that due to drizzle, the game may have to be stopped for some time.
Rohit then shouted loudly and looked towards the clouds and said, 'Not now.' Rohit then completed his century with a six. The day's play ended early due to poor lighting. Rohit is unbeaten on 117 runs while Ajinkya Rahane is playing for 83 runs. India ended the day with 224 runs at the loss of three wickets.
This is Rohit's third and total sixth Test century in this series. He completed his century by hitting a six off Dane Pete. Earlier, when he said 'not now', it was raining lightly and the treesmen were ready with covers. In this match, Rohit has become the highest sixes batsman in a Test series.
The 32-year-old Rohit has so far hit 17 sixes in this series and surpassed Shimron Hetmeyer who had hit 15 sixes in the two-match Test series played against Bangladesh in 2018-19.
