Yuvraj Singh is one of the best cricketers that Indian cricket has produced. The stylish southpaw from Chandigarh has won many matches for India and is best known for his big hitting ability. While his life has always been an open book for his fans, there are a few things which are known to very few.

Early Life: Cricket in his blood!
Yuvraj Singh is the son of Yograj Singh, the former Indian fast bowler who played 1 Test and 6 ODIs for India. He was born in Chandigarh on December 12, 1981. His parents, Yograj Singh and Shabnam Singh divorced, and he chose to stay with his mother after that. Yuvraj attended DAV Public School in Chandigarh.
Navjot Sidhu gives up hopes!
Yuvraj wasn’t a very excellent cricketer when he started. His father asked Navjot Sidhu, the former Indian player, to train Yuvraj. It is said that Yuvraj was so bad at batting that he got bowled on a full toss delivery after which even Sidhu had given up hopes.
Yuvraj was born on 12th day of 12th month of 1981 year on 12 in the noon in Chandigarh’s 12 Sector hospital. No wonder his lucky number & jersey number is 12.
Yuvraj has worked as a child actor in Punjabi movie. Yuvraj has confessed many times that he loves acting but though he claims he is not good at it.
358 in Cooch Behar Trophy final
Playing for the Punjab under-19s against Bihar under-19s in the Cooch Behar Trophy final in December 1999, Yuvraj smashed 358 off 404 balls. His innings featured 40 fours and six sixes. Interestingly, future Indian skipper MS Dhoni was a part of the opposition and had scored 84 when his team batted.
Yuvi as voice artist
In 2008, Yuvraj lent his voice for the animated movie titled Jumbo. Yuvraj had given his voice for the character of Rajkumar Vikram.
