IPL 2020 Auction Scheduled On December 19 In Kolkata
The 13th edition will be the small auction for the franchises as some new and young talent will be bought and replaced. Last big IPL auction was held in January 2018 where the franchise was allowed to retain five players for the next three years. So the next big auction will take place in 2021 where the whole fresh squad will be selected.
According to ESPNCricinfo, the trading window would close on November 14. To build the team for IPL 2020, every franchise is allotted INR 85 crore (US $12 million approx) and besides this INR 3 crore is also granted. The team will also add up the amount left from the last auction.
Delhi capitals have a big balance in IPL
Delhi Capitals have the biggest balance – INR 8.2 crore, followed by Rajasthan Royals – INR 7.15 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 6.05 crore), Sunrisers Hyderabad (INR 5.3 crore), Kings XI Punjab (INR 3.7 crore), Chennai Super Kings (INR 3.2 crore), the defending champions Mumbai Indians (INR 3.05 crore) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (INR 1.8 crore).
The 13th edition of Indian Premier League will start from April as per reports. According to reports, IPL brand value has a 7% growth from last year. Last year winners Mumbai Indians and runners-up Chennai Super Kings had also a whopping growth in their brand value from the previous year. But Royal Challengers Banglore and Kolkata Knight Riders have gone down in brand value.
IPL is not only popular in India but also worldwide and day by day the viewership of the league is increasing. It was seen that the last year its reach was to 18.6 million people. The next year will also see the increasing popularity of the league.
