The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction is all set to take place next month in Kolkata and all the eight teams having an additional purse of ₹3 crores in addition to the balance in their kitties from the last auction to sign some players who can be game-changer for their side for the entire season.

James Neesham went unsold in the 2019 IPL auction, but it looks like things are about to change for the Kiwi all-rounder after impressive performances in the last couple of months.

Neesham is a quality all-rounder who played a crucial role in the Blackcaps side throughout the World Cup. In the Super Over of the tournament final, Neesham fought hard to keep his team in the match only to end up on the losing time.

IPL Auction 2020: Glenn Phillips

An unknown quantity this New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman ended up as fourth-highest run-scorer in Carribean Premier League 2019. While opening the batting Phillips scored 374 runs at an average of 37.40 and a strike rate of 144.96 including three half-centuries.

The 22-year old right-hand batsman might just tick the box of IPL teams looking for a quality opening batsman.

IPL Auction 2020: Tim Siefert

The wicketkeeper-batsman handed India their biggest T20I loss when the Kiwis had toured the country last time. He had smashed 84 runs off 43 balls to take his side to victory. The explosive batsman who expressed his liking to bat at the top or No 3 three can be useful during the death overs.
