Jasprit Bumrah Just Starts His Recovery Process: Report
The 25-year-old right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah is now a big name in Indian pace-bowling line-up. Since his debut in international cricket, Bumrah has dominated with the ball. In every format, he has put the solid mark. At present, he is the no.1-ranked ODI bowler and no.4-ranked Test bowler. While he is the no.31-ranked T20I bowler, he is the second most T20I wicket-taker (51 wickets) for India.
Just a few months ago, before he received an injury, Bumrah claimed a Test hat-trick. He became the third Indian bowler to claim a Test hat-trick when he achieved that feat during the Kingston Test against West Indies in last August-September.
Jasprit Bumrah was getting ready for the three-match home Test series against . But he got a minor stress fracture to the back and missed out that entire Test series. Thealso sent him the UK for better treatment but he didn’t need surgery on that. Very expectedly, Bumrah will also miss the entire T20I and Test series against at home.
Jasprit Bumrah’s back is recovering well
Now, the IANS has reported that Bumrah is recovering well as he is on auto-heal mode. He has even started the initial process which will help him to return to the business. The physio of the national team, Nitin Patel, will observe Bumrah’s fitness after Diwali.
A source revealed according to IANS, “He (Jasprit Bumrah) is on auto-heal mode and the back is recovering well. He has already started running and doing some light warm-up exercises. He will be assessed post-Diwali under the watchful eyes of Nitin. Things have progressed well, just as it had in case of his previous stress fracture which also healed naturally.”
The selectors and team management don’t want to hurry on Jasprit Bumrah. According to recent media reports, they are not even thinking Bumrah’s international cricket return in this year. Bumrah can return during India’s full tour of New Zealand in early 2020.
