Mayank Agarwal Reveals His Secret Behind Hitting Centuries
Mayank Agarwal has become the star in Test cricket as he scored another century in the second Test match against South Africa. The player is playing its first Test series in the Indian soil. After the first innings of the second Test against South Africa, the player revealed the secret of his outstanding game.
In both the Test matches, he gave a good start to the team. In the first Test match played at Vishakhapatnam, Mayank Agarwal scored a double century which helped India to score a good first innings total for the team. The player consistently played very well in the field.
He made the Test debut against the hosts Australia in last December where he scored half-centuries but was not able to convert it into big numbers. Next, he toured in West Indies where his performance was not impressive. The player has the talent and he has proved his worth in the Indian soil against South Africa in the ongoing Test series. Mayank scored his first century and converted it into double. He set a good opening partnership with in the first innings of 317 runs.
Mayank didn’t stop in the second Test match as he again scored a hundred including 16 fours and 2 sixes. He set up a big partnership with in the first innings of the second Test match. Pujara also scored a half-century. The player is happy with his performance as he talks to Pujara after the match.
Only sambhar and idlis: Mayank
Pujara asked mantra from Mayank which help him to score centuries. Mayank said that there is only one tip which he follows i.e, eating south Indian dish- sambhar and idlis. Both laughed out on the conversation.
“Simple, South Indian idlis – 2 of them with some coconut chutney and sambhar”, he replied.
Mayank has now become a crucial part of the Test team. The 28-year-old only plays for India in longest format of cricket. Talking about his domestic career, he has played 55 first-class cricket matches and his highest score is 304 not out. He has the power to bat for a long time.
