Mayank Agarwal scored a double century to match Vinod Kambli
Mayank Agarwal 215 (371), the young opener of the Indian team, scored a double century on the second day in the first match of the Visakhapatnam Test Series. Mayank, who made his Test debut on the Australia tour last year, had his first Test match in home condition, in which he has made his intentions clear by playing a blistering innings.
This is the fifth test match of Mayank Agarwal's career. He could not score a century in his career before this match, but in Visakhapatnam, he not only completed his century but also converted the century into a double century.
With this double century Mayank has joined a special club. He has become the fourth player from India to convert his first century of Test career into a double century.
. Vinod Kambli-Karun Nair made a place in the club
First of all, in the year 1965, during the match against New Zealand, Dilip Sardesai had changed his first Test century to double century. After this, Vinod Kambli did this feat in 1993.
In 2016, Karun Nair (303 *) scored the first Test century of his career. He converted his innings into a triple century. Mayank Agarwal became the fourth Indian batsman to make it to this special club after Karun Nair.
