An impeccable leader, a master gloveman, and, one of the best finishers of the game, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, over the years, has mastered the art of donning many hats on the playing field.

His leadership skills saw India scaling new heights in international cricket. His ability to accelerate the scoring rate in the death overs, even if it has diminished in recent times, still makes him one of the key ingredients in the Indian batting line-up. And, his lightening quick glovework has helped Indian bowlers get wickets in situations where none existed.

But, for someone who is quite reserve and calm on the field, Dhoni is a completely different personality when he steps off it. For those who like to keep close tabs on the Jharkhand cricketer would know that he is a passionate biker and shares great admiration for man's first love: cars.

Apart from boasting of some of the fastest and most unique bikes in his garage, Dhoni, over the years, has turned out to be a collector of mean machines. From his yellow Humvee, smoking red Ferrari to white Land Rover, Dhoni's collection of cars includes some of the most desired vehicles in the world.

Last month, he added a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to his collection and was seen taking his red midsize SUV for a spin on the roads of Ranchi. And, more recently, he appears to have added a 20-year-old Nissan Jonga to his garage. Retired from the longest format, while Virat Kohli & co were busy playing the third Test against South Africa in Ranchi, Dhoni grabbed all the limelight by taking his military green Jonga for a spin on the streets.

He was spotted at a petrol pump near his home where bystanders gathered around the local boy admiring his new ride. Obliging to his fans, Dhoni clicked selfies and took out time to give autographs to those who were lucky to be in the vicinity. On the fourth day of the 3rd Test, Dhoni arrived at the JSCA International stadium in his new car and was seen exchanging pleasantries with the Indian cricketers in the dressing room.

Dhoni's new ride, Jonga, has been an iconic vehicle for the Indian Army for years. With its high ground clearance and powerful engine, the unique vehicle perfectly suited military requirements. Owing to its success on the mountainous terrain, Jonga became the go-to vehicle for Indian Army, especially in its expeditions and rallies.

Originally called Patrol 60 (P60), Indian Army rechristened Nissan's vehicle as Jonga, an acronym for Jabalpur Ordnance and Guncarriage Assembly - where it was modified to meet the military requirements. Even if the production of Jonga stopped in 1999, the vehicle still makes for a prized possession which probably explains why Dhoni was more than happy to include it in his collection of cars.
