Mustafizur Rahman and Mosaddek Hossain doubtful for 3rd T20I against Rohit Sharma-led Team India in Nagpur
With the three-match series on the line in the upcoming Nagour T20I between India and Bangladesh, the Bangla Tigers have suffered a twin injury blow ahead of the monumental clash at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium on Sunday. Already living in the aftermath of Shakib Al Hasan's cricket ban, the Bangla Tigers will be without the services of all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain and speed merchant Mustafizur Rahman for the third and final T20I encounter against Rohit Sharma's men in Nagpur.
Hossain has sustained a groin niggle prior to Nagpur game and his recent struggles can keep him out of tonight's match. Mohammad Mithun can be named in the starting lineup if Hossain is rested. While Bangladesh are dealing with injuries and suspensions, the hosts are likely to go with an unchanged squad. The only exception can be Khaleel Ahmed, who has gone for plenty in both the games.
According to a report, Mosaddek has procured a thigh injury and was unable to either bat or ball in the nets. Both players were missing in action when the visitors practised on the eve of the Nagpur clash. The report added that Mustafizur was seen warming up at the beginning of the practice session bit while Mossadek stayed put in the dressing room.
Despite starting away tour to India as underdogs, Muhmudullah's men managed to above their weight and started the three-match opera with a historic win over the Men In Blue. The seven-wicket upset in Delhi T20I was Bangladesh's first win over the hosts in their T20I history since the format's inception.
With Bangladesh drawing a surprise 1-0 lead, an under-pumped Rohit Sharma emerged as the knight in shining armour for the Men In Blue and laid the foundation of an impressive triumph over the visitors in Rajkot. The 32-year-old smashed a quick-fire 85 to help India bounce back by levelling the three-match series 1-1 in the penultimate clash between the two sides.
