Nick Compton, a former English Test batsman seems to have made it a habit of looking at the negative side of things. Compton could not click at the international level having represented England in 16 Tests between 2012 to 2016. The ex-cricketer had earlier criticised Kohli after the Indian captain made a heartwarming gesture for Steve Smith in World Cup 2019. Compton had also made fun of Shahid Afridi's batting techniques. Compton had faced the backlash of the fans on both occasions and even this time was no different either as Nick Compton tried to take on Rohit Sharma who has had an outstanding year with the bat so far.

Compton questions Rohit's abilities

Rohit Sharma had made an excellent comeback to Test cricket in the recently concluded series against South Africa where India had registered a clean sweep. Rohit had scored centuries in both innings of the first Test and a double century in the final Test. Not only was he adjudged Man of the Match on both occasions but had won the Man of the Series award as well. A fan had taken to social media and had written that 2019 belongs to Rohit Sharma. However, Nick Compton made his presence felt and questioned performances in overseas conditions. Take a look.

Compton's question did not go down well with the fans and he was brutally trolled yet again. Here are some of the reactions.

Rohit tops it all

Rohit Sharma’s stellar performance in the third Test against South Africa has advanced him to the 10th position in the ICC Test rankings. Sharma has become the third Indian batsman, after Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, to reach the top 10 in all formats of the game. The Hitman now holds the second position (Feb 2018) in ODI rankings and seventh in T20s (Nov 2018). Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will be donning the captain's hat in the upcoming three-match T20Is against Bangladesh starting from November 3 as Virat Kohli has been rested for the limited-overs series.
