Islamabad: Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who came under attack due to Pakistan's poor performance in the World Cup 2019, eventually lost his captaincy. A poor home T20 series against Sri Lanka served as the last nail in the coffin. Due to which PCB released him from the post of captain. In his place, Azhar Ali was given the test and Babar Azam was given the command of Pakistan's T20 team.
During the sacking of Sarfaraz, the Pakistani Cricket Board did one such tweet, after which he had to apologize. The PCB shared a video celebrating the Pakistani players, after which the Pakistani journalist said that the moment after Sarfaraz was dropped. Fans also reprimanded the PCB for this. However, seeing the matter grow, the board deleted the tweet and apologized saying that the board apologizes for that post. He admitted that the timing was wrong.
