Match abandoned

Due to unstoppable rain in Sydney, the match has been abandoned which turned into a blessing in disguise for Pakistan as Australia were certainly in the mood to finish the runchase within 10 overs itself. 11 more balls would have seen Australia go one up in the series, but the timing of the rain was perfect for Pakistan.

Finch goes berserk

After hitting a boundary to Mohammad Amir in the previous over, Aaron Finch has absolutely lost it as he hammers Muhammad Irfan. A six to leg stump, a massive one, and then two consecutive boundaries . And from a free hit, another humongous six! And he finishes the over with another boundary straight down the ground. 26 runs off the over. AUS are 39/0 after 3 overs.

AUS need 119 to win

With a six in the last over, Babar Azam powered the feeble batting order of Pakistan to a decent 107/5 after 15 overs. 11 runs from that last Mitchell Starc over. The 25-year-old played a captain's innings on his debut with a brilliant unbeaten 59 from 38 balls. Australia need 119 runs, due to DLS, to win from 90 balls.

Adam Zampa comes back in, and he is just absolutely hammered by the Pakistan batsmen, first by Babar Azam with a well-taken boundary, and then, a massive hit by Asif Ali out of the park. Zampa's misery is put out soon, as the rain comes back for a visit. PAK are 88/3 after 12.4 overs.

Rizwan hits big

Adam Zampa comes into the attack, and after a few opening balls, Mohammad Rizwan just unleashes his power. A smart boundary and then a six to deep extra cover. Can the partnership between the captain and the captain's replacement prove to be crucial? 12 runs off the over. PAK are 30/2 after 4 overs.
