PCA secy sets sight on Ranji Trophy
Mohali, October 4 Rajinder Gupta was unanimously elected the president of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) as only one nomination was filed against each post of the office-bearers of the sports body. Rakesh Rathour (vice-president), Puneet Bali (secretary), Surjit Rai (joint secretary) and Ram Parkash Singla (treasurer) were also elected unopposed during the 71st Annual General Body meeting of Punjab Cricket Association here today. Rathour will also be PCAs representative at the Annual Body Meeting of BCCI in Mumbai on October 23. Gupta thanked the members for their cooperation and maintaining unanimity during the elections. The newly-appointed PCA secretary Puneet Bali, who has been a First-Class cricketer, said, Our first priority is to see the Punjab team win the Ranji Trophy in next two years. I would like to see five-six players from Punjab in India reckoning. We wish to take everyone along and address the grievances of former First-Class cricketers , As Reported By Tribune.
