Rohit Sharma’s Place In Top Order Changes Everything For Indian Team: Vikram Rathour
In the three-match Test series against South Africa, he scored his first Test century as an opener in Visakhapatnam. He scored two centuries in the first Test match. Rohit has not stopped as he scored another century in the third Test match which is being played in Ranchi ground.
Test cricket requires patience and strength to play for a long time in the field. Rohit has shown both the factors in his game. The newly appointed Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour has praised Rohit Sharma’s technique to play in the game.
“He is such an experienced player. I don’t think you need to change anything with his technique. The only adjustment I think he had to make was his game plans,” Rathour said.

Vikram Rathour was appointed after lost his place as the batting coach. He opines that to assign Rohit Sharma as the Test opener was the good decision. He is an experienced opener which has helped him in Test cricket and he will also play well in foreign conditions, opines Vikram Rathour.
I always believed he is too good a player not to be playing in any format. It was a good call to make him open. With the number of runs he has scored, he has settled the issue for the time being. Somebody of his experience and the kind of cricket he plays, if he starts coming good top of the order, it changes everything for the Indian team, even when you’re touring,” he added
In total Rohit Sharma has scored six Test centuries which includes three as the Test Opener. He scored a double century in the ongoing third and final Test match in the Ranchi ground.
