Rohit Sharma: Bangladesh Is A Strong Team And Cannot Be Taken Lightly
Rohit Sharma will be leading India in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh as skipper Virat Kohli has been rested for the limited-overs series. The first T20I will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has gone on to say that Bangladesh cannot be taken lightly by any means as they are a very strong unit during a media interaction on Saturday.

"Bangladesh is a very very good team. All these years we have seen how they have performed not just at home but also away whenever they have gone out and played especially against us and they have always put us under pressure. So there is no way that we look at this team differently", said Rohit Sharma.
"I understand that there are two key players missing but they still have quality in their squad which can upset any team on that particular given day. I wouldn't say upset, I would say beat. That is a very good word to use because they are very mature cricketers now. All these players have played for a long time", he added. At the same time, Rohit has also said that instead of focusing too much on the opposition the Indian players should also focus on what they should do as a team.
'Posting targets and defending them is the focus', says Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma said that the team's first priority was to win games and to improve India's run in the T20s. Rohit Sharma revealed that the team had looked at certain numbers and stats related to posting targets and defending them and said that the team lacked the ability to post scores on difficult pitches and difficult attacks. Rohit Sharma said that it was the perfect time to try and win games ahead of the T20 World Cup and said that the aim was to get India on the top in the rankings. Rohit Sharma said that he firmly believes India can grab the top spot for all the three formats and that they can set the standard.
