Rohit Sharma reached number 10 in ICC Test batsman ranking. He is only the third Indian to make it to the top-10 of all three formats. Rohit is second in ODIs and seventh in T20. Earlier, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have done so.
Kohli was number-1 in all three formats while the same Gambhir was first in Tests and T20s and eighth in ODIs. The same Ajinkya Rahane reached the career best fifth position. Rohit scored two centuries and a double century in the Test series against South Africa.
Playing for the first time as an opener in Test career, Rohit scored 529 runs in the series. His ranking has improved 12 places. Kohli is second in the ranking and Chetweshwar Pujara is at number four. Mayank Agarwal is at number 18.
