Rohit Sharma Overtakes Sir Don Bradman’s Home Average
The right-hander has been at his best in the series as he surpassed more than 500 runs in just four innings. Rohit Sharma has also overtaken former legendary batsman Sir Don Bradman’s home average. Bradman had scored his home runs at an average of 98.22 whereas Rohit has bettered it with 99.84.
In fact, Rohit Sharma has scored all his six Test centuries in the home conditions. The right-hander was able to hit the ground running in the third Test as he completed his double ton in just 249 balls.
The stylish batsman scored 28 fours and six sixes in his blistering knock as he batted at the top of his game. There was just no stopping Rohit as he scored his runs at a strike rate of 83.14.
The Mumbai batsman scored a fine knock of 212 runs off just 255 balls. Rohit had also scored twin centuries in the first Test match at Visakhapatnam.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s average was 39 before the ongoing series. Now it has mushroomed to 48.05 as he has amassed 529 runs in the three-match series. Consequently, the talented batsman will look to continue his good form going.
