Rohit Sharma Reacts For The First Time After Being Caught Abusing On Camera
Team India banked on a match-winning show from skipper Rohit Sharma to bounce back in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. As a result, they levelled the three-match series 1-1 with one match still to go.
Rohit Sharma scored 85 off 43 deliveries including six sixes and fours each as India chased down 154 runs set by Bangladesh to level terms on the series. Batting first, the Bangla Tigers made a swift start taking on the Indian bowlers in the powerplay. Bangladesh could only manage to score 153 runs from 70 in seven overs. The bowlers pulled off a stunning comeback after going for plenty in the powerplay overs. Stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma was seen losing his cool time and again and was also caught abusing on the camera.
Reacting to it for the first time, Rohit Sharma said that he will keep a check on the camera before cursing next time. The Mumbai cricketer said that he is quite an emotional cricketer and often it takes the better of himself.
“I’m quite an emotional guy on the field. Some of the decisions in the previous and some of the on-field moments today, we were a bit sloppy. Ultimately the aim is to get the job done, and sometimes we display a lot of emotions. Next time I’ll check where the camera is (laughs).” Rohit said at the end of the match.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma returned to form in the shortest format and will hope to keep up his swashbuckling form in the final game to seal the series against Bangladesh by 2-1 margin. India face the Bangla Tigers on Sunday for the final game of the series.
