What a dazzling display of fireworks that turned out to be from Rohit Sharma, who unfortunately fell 15 short of what would’ve been a perfect way to celebrate a 100 T20I appearances. The series, currently locked at 1-1, heads to Nagpur for the decider, taking place three days from now.

It was completely a night of dominance for Rohit Sharma with the bat. Right from the start, he looked all-together in a different mood in order to make things fall in place. Almost in every over, Rohit Sharma managed to get runs at a higher strike rate for the team.

Rohit Sharma scored 18th T20I fifty:

Rohit Sharma finished with 85 runs off just 43 balls while KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer completed the game for India. Needless to mention that Rohit Sharma bagged the man of the match award. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan once again failed to get quick runs for the team, as he managed below 100 strike rate in the powerplay overs.
